UCI ServiceNow: Reporting an Incident

  • Where is the old help desk? »
  • We will no longer be using the old help desk system to manage our tickets. If you need help, please submit a ticket to ServiceNow by clicking on the image above.

     

    If you need further assistance using ServiceNow, please read the tutorial provided in the links below or simply e-mail sait-oithelp@uci.edu

     

    The following sections will show you how to file an incident report through ServiceNow.

  • How do I use ServiceNow? »
  • 1.If the links above are not functional, please go to https://uci.servicenow.com/ and login using your UCINetID and password.

    If you choose to click on the link to the Student Affairs Incident Report directly, please go to the last Question Item on this page.

     

    2. Once you have logged in to ServiceNow you should be brought to your personal homepage.

    Your homepage should resemble the following image:

    3. On your homepage, under the section titled “Can We Help You?", please click on the link labeled "Student Affairs Incident Report"

  • I am not able to log in. What do I do? »
  • All valid UCInetIDs should be able to access ServiceNow. Your UCInetID is the first part of your e-mail address before "@uci.edu"

    example: The UCInetID for saithelp@uci.edu is saithelp 

    Please submit a request to saithelp@uci.edu with your name, UCInetID, and department affiliation along with the issue you are having and the help desk will assist you in resolving it.

  • How do I submit an Incident Report? »
  • After clicking on Student Affairs Incident Report you will be brought to the following form:

    * If the descriptions above the menus do not appear simply click on the arrow next to More†Information*

     

    On this page please do the following:

     

    1. Department: Select which department you are affiliated with.
    2. Urgency: List the Urgency of the Incident
    3. Description: Give a descriptive statement of what the incident is.
      If possible, please include error messages and descriptions of previous actions or running applications. The more details we know of the issue, the better we can assist you.
    4. Click the Submit button.
    5. You will be taken back to your homepage where you can track all of your open incident reports. You can check the status of your Incident Report under My Open Incidents by clicking on the Incident Number
